Senseless Pity Is...

A synth-pop/darkwave music project that begins this year 2024.
Diana as composer and singer, Nyx in bass and synths.

In the previous year, a fresh start was needed. Something new and different to what Diana has done maybe more than a decade ago, that's how Senseless Pity took form.

It wasn't thought as a band or a duo but a safe space for a bittersweet and lonely relief, influenced by The Frozen Autumn or Depeche Mode but with a more modern and completely synthetic approach (even happier?). A definitive feature about the sound experimentation in Senseless Pity has been the voice synthesis combined with Diana's natural voice, giving a colder and neutral touch to the voice, like a digital diary.

Imagine yourself, late in the night, you turn on your computer and in the loneliest and saddest moment you feel the need to write... not with paper and pencil, not a physical human friend, not even a call. It's only a computer, but you need to say what you feel, even if no-one is there to listen. It's cold, it feels useless and disposable, nevertheless there are your emotions and your heart.

Eventually it ends up being music, almost completely synthetic, but with a lot to say. The most coward and pathetic loneliness, the coldest and emotionless expression medium, but it ended up being music with a lot to say.

Then Nyx Joined!

After a long time in music coming in and out of bands, she decided to join Senseless Pity looking for something more serious and long-therm in which she could add something to the essence and formation of the band, lyrics and aesthetic, and in this case the particular organic sound in live performances.

Some months after the creation of the first EP and in the necessity for variety and dynamism for the new sound of the band, the bright in live performances so sought after, she joins as bassist and keyboardist soon enough before the first live concert happened.

A new EP is coming, and her soul is there ready to be part of Senseless Pity.
